Running this little show isn’t free, even the basics like our website, domain, hosting, boring legal bits, and the tools needed to keep everything ticking. That adds up to a few hundred pounds a year before we’ve even touched mics, editing software, or replaced that suspiciously wobbly headset. We happily pay for our own gear and software out of pocket because we love doing this, but a bit of help with the core running costs would go a long way. That’s exactly what Patreon’s for — helping cover those essentials so we can keep the podcast going strong, ad-free, and full of questionable banter.

To keep everything running smoothly, our annual costs come to £521.98.

Patreon takes around 13% in fees (8% platform fee + ~5% payment processing), and there’s a £1/month payout charge. That means we need to bring in around £613.77 per year, or £51.15 per month, just to break even. To give us a little breathing room for unexpected costs, we’re aiming for a monthly Patreon goal of £55.
